East Bengal became the first club to progress to the semi-finals of the Hero Super Cup after Laldanmawia Ralte scored a 95th-minute penalty to beat Hero I-League counterparts, Aizawl FC 1-0 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Sunday. East Bengal were arguably the better side throughout the game and deservedly got the winner in injury-time when Ansumana Kromah was brought down inside the box.

After the high-octane encounter, the winning side’s captain Cavin Lobo spoke to supercup.in about his side’s victory and the difficulty of overcoming an inspired Aizawl. The midfielder was overjoyed with them occupying a semi-final berth and also had a special message for the passionate East Bengal fans.
