FC Pune City will gear up to face the Hero I-League club Shillong Lajong FC in the sixth pre-quarter final of the Hero Super Cup at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The Stallions enjoyed their most successful Hero Indian Super League (ISL) season till date, as they qualified for the playoffs for the first time in the 2017-18 edition.

Through the season, Pune had a number of Indian and foreign players carrying the team’s fortune on their heads, with their midfielder Adil Khan being one of the key characters. He served as a pivotal figure in the midfield, while also scoring four goals for his team. On the eve of the match, the 29-year old spoke with the supercup.in and gave an insight into the mindset of the team and their chances going forward in the tournament.
